Would you like your LG TV to give you a theater-like experience? If so, enable Filmmaker Mode, one of the best picture settings, to gain the best movie experience. Every LG TV webOS model comes with Filmmaker mode, which you can easily enable by navigating through the settings menu.
If you want to know what a Filmmaker mode is and how to turn it on on your TV, then read the following guide.
What is Filmmaker Mode on LG TV and Why You Should Use it?
Filmmaker mode is a unique feature specifically designed for viewers to experience a movie’s originality. With this setting, you can stream your favorite movie with the original picture format, color code, and aspect ratio on your LG TV. However, with the Filmmaker mode turned on, the picture modes you previously used on your TV will revert back to the default.
Meanwhile, the Filmmaker mode supports Blu-Ray or 4K and other high-resolution video.
LG TV Tip! Filmmaker mode reduces the brightness and makes the display of LG TV too dark. Therefore, we recommend you watch your TV in a darker room for better visibility.
How to Turn On Filmmaker Mode on LG Smart TV
The Filmmaker mode is available on every LG webOS model. However, to turn on the feature, follow the drafted steps below.
- LG webOS 6.0 and Above: Push Settings button on remote → Go to All Settings → Click on Picture tab → Select Advanced Settings → Toggle on Filmmaker Mode Auto Start.
- LG webOS 5.0 and Below: Open All Settings→ Select Picture tab on left → Click on Picture Mode Settings → Picture Mode → Choose Filmmaker Mode → Done.
Filmmaker mode is not available for NetCast TV models. So, as an alternative, enable the Cinema Picture mode on NetCast TV for a better experience. However, if this picture mode doesn’t suit your personal preference for image quality, then turn off the Filmmaker Mode by following the same procedure as mentioned above and turn Off the toggle.
After turning on the feature, stream any movie you like and share your experience with us. Also, if you have any queries regarding the TV’s picture settings or other issues, feel free to discuss them on my community forum for answers.
