The model I own is LG 43UP7000 model with webOS 6.0. Being new to the LG smart TV brand, I am unaware of how to stop my LG TV that dims and auto-brightens. While this isn't a problem during the day time, my eyes feel the discomfort during the late hours. Now, is there any issue with my LG TV screen? What do I do to get resolved off this issue?
I can understand how frustrating it is to deal with LG TV screen intermittently dims out and brightens up. It may either be because of power saving mode enabled accidentally or a change of picture settings.
In case of power saving or energy saving mode enabled, you should navigate to TV settings by pressing the Settings button on the remote to choose Support/Picture and then select Energy Saving Step → Change Energy Saving Step from Maximum to Off.
If that doesn't resolve the LG TV dim screen issue, then you should check the AI picture settings to turn it off. If your LG TV belongs to the latest model, then press the Gear icon to choose General and select AI Service. Now, turn off AI Picture Pro, AI Brightness Settings, and AI Genre Selection.
Meanwhile, you shall proceed to adjust the picture settings like brightness, contrast, and backlight settings t get rid of this auto brightning issue.
As an additional tip, I also want you to update your LG TV to the latest version, and it may, at times, resolve any glitches and errors causing this problem.
I hope this helped you get rid of the eye strain caused by the dim screen and auto brightness of your TV. I'm looking forward to hearing from you about which of the fixes has helped you!!
