Despite checking the connection issue, my LG TV turns on and still shows no picture.
The screen goes black after displaying LG TV logo. I could find the backlight is still on. What is causing this issue and how can I resolve it? Looking for some real help
Thanks in advance.
Sometimes, you will face this problem if your TV is overheated. This issue makes the TV turn off or displays no picture. As said in your case, if you use the LG TV for a long time, your TV will be overheated. In this case, turn off the TV and don't use it for 1-2 hours. After that, turn on the LG TV and use it without any issues.
If you haven't used the LG TV for too long but still see no picture on the screen, the problem may be due to several reasons like incorrect input settings, outdated LG TV firmware, or some other hardware problem. If this is the case, set the input settings correctly and update the LG TV firmware. Still, if the issue continues, check for any hardware damages with the help of a technician. If so, contact the LG Support Team to resolve the problem.
Let me know if these steps work!
Hi Sankar,
I tried out the fixes you mentioned and, when I contacted the LG support team, found that it was entirely a hardware problem. Since my TV has an extended warranty, I could use the support to replace the backlight. With that, the issue was sorted out, and I am able to use the LG TV better. Thank you for rendering timely support.
Hey Dotty!!
It's definitely good news that your issue got rectified by the LG support team. Can you have a minute or two? If so, I would like you to share your LG customer support experience with us.
Sure! Initially, I contacted the LG Support team over email, and they responded to me on the second day. I have even registered for a repair by visiting https://www.lg.com/us/support/repair-service/schedule-repair . There I have been directed to provide some of the credentials and I was directed to convey what's happening with my LG TV. With that, I received support over a call and followed some basic DIY fixes. Eventually, it did not fix the issue, and they confirmed it as a hardware problem that required on-store repair. So, I took my TV to the nearest outlet, and they repaired the issue in 5 working days. Overall, I would rate the support service of LG with 4/5.
