How to Pair Universal Remote to LG TV With Codes

In manual pairing, you need to use the universal remote codes for your LG TV to program and pair the remote.

1. You should begin by turning on your LG TV using the physical buttons.

2. Point the Universal remote towards the TV and hold the Set Up button. If your Universal remote has a separate LG / TV button, press it and select the Set Up button.

4. When the remote LED lights up solidly, enter the remote code for your LG TV one by one.

5. If you enter the correct remote code that suits your LG TV, the blinking will stop. Refer to the remote codes mentioned above.

6. Once it does, press any button and check if the remote is working or not. If it works, you have successfully done the pairing process.

How to Program Universal Remote to LG Smart TV Without Codes

Some universal remotes work even without entering the pairing code. If you have an advanced universal remote, you can program it to your LG TV automatically using the steps below. Please note that this method varies for each universal remote.

1. Press the LG button if available on the remote.

2. You should go ahead and press and hold the LG and Power button on the universal remote for two seconds.

3. Gently release the buttons, and you should now push the Play button on the universal remote.

4. If the pairing is successful, your LG TV will turn off now.

5. Now, you should turn on your TV and hit Stop to save the remote programming. Now, the remote is paired successfully.
