Are you an LG TV user who likes to share your mobile or PC screen with your TV? Then go with Smart Share. This is a unique feature that is only supported for LG webOS 2.0 or older version TV models. Using Smart Share, you can share video, music, and photos on your LG TV wirelessly from your PC or smartphone.

How Smart Share Works on LG TV
To work out the Smart Share, you must connect your LG TV to a WIFI and your connecting device to the same WIFI. The steps to perform smart share differ based on the device you choose.
Let’s see the process of how to make it work from the following steps.
Smart Share to LG TV from Smartphone
1. With your LG TV turned on, go to the home screen launcher.
2. Click on the Smart Share on the TV.
3. Inside the app, choose the Connect Mobile Device option tab on the top.
4. After this, you will be prompted to turn on WIFI Direct on your LG TV. Now, turn on the WIFI Direct on your TV and smartphone.
5. After that, select your LG TV from the list of active devices.
Finally, if the process is successful, you can share your media content from your phone to LG TV.
LG TV Tip! You can also perform DLNA on your LG TV using Smart Share to preview media files from your device.
Smart Share to LG TV from PC
1. Download the ZIP file of the Smart Share application and extract the file.
2. Then, browse the list and launch setup.exe and complete the installation process.
3. After that, connect your PC and TV to the same WIFI network.
4. Open the Smart Share app on your PC and click any one of the options on the home screen. (Movie/Photo/Music).
5. Click on the Search Bar and select the video you want to share.
6. After selecting, go to the Connected Players tab and click on your LG TV.
7. This will start the Smart Share from your PC to your TV.
These are the possible ways to share media content from your smartphone/PC to LG TV using the Smart Share feature. However, if you’re a user who has upgraded from LG webOS 2.0 or older, then you can use the screen mirroring feature on LG TV (Chromecast, AirPlay, or Device Connector) to share your device screen with the TV.
